Nancy Isime on Faith: “I’m Not Your Typical Nigerian Christian”

Nancy Isime opens up about her faith journey, explaining why she isn’t a typical Nigerian Christian

Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has sparked conversations after sharing her honest views on faith. During a recent interview with Jay On-Air, the actress explained why she sees herself differently from many Nigerian Christians. Her comments have since caught the attention of fans across social media.

According to Nancy, she does not depend on pastors or priests to direct her spiritual journey. Instead, she focuses on building a personal relationship with God and following her convictions. She believes faith should be deeply personal and guided by individual understanding.

Speaking about her beliefs, she said, “I don’t serve mortals. So, I don’t have the need to perform for mortals. And I would always have a mind of my own. I would always do my own thing. I would always figure out God for myself.”

However, the movie star made it clear that she still learns from respected spiritual leaders. She revealed that she listens to teachers like Apostle Joshua Selman for guidance and inspiration. Nancy added,

“But of course, I have anchors, whom I listen to; preachers like Apostle Joshua Selman. When you understand the kind of preachers I listen to, you will understand where I am coming from. I am not your typical Nigerian Christian, and I don’t want to be. I have my own mindset just like Jesus.”

Her remarks have added a fresh perspective to ongoing discussions about faith, spirituality, and personal conviction among young Nigerians.
