Voice Behind Party Rock Anthem Lauren Bennett Dies at 37

Many people remember Bennett for Party Rock Anthem, one of the biggest songs of 2011. The global hit spent six weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was later ranked as Billboard’s fifth most successful song of all time. She also appeared in the song’s colourful music video, which has attracted more than 2.5 billion views on YouTube. As a result, her voice became part of one of pop music’s most unforgettable party anthems.

Later, Bennett joined the pop group G.R.L. in 2014. The group was created as a new version of The Pussycat Dolls. She performed alongside Paula Van Oppen, Natasha Slayton, Simone Battle, and Emmalyn Estrada. Their biggest hit was Ugly Heart. They also teamed up with Pitbull on Wild Wild Love.
