Russian Wildberries Warehouses Hit by Deadly Ukrainian Strikes

Ukrainian drone attacks killed seven people after hitting warehouses belonging to Russia’s largest online retailer.

At least seven people were killed and 49 others injured after Ukrainian drones struck two warehouses owned by Wildberries, Russia’s biggest online retailer. Russian authorities said all the deaths occurred at a warehouse in Tambov. Also, another facility in Elektrostal, near Moscow, was damaged.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the strikes targeted major logistics facilities allegedly used to supply sanctioned components for Russian drone production and navigation equipment. He added that Ukrainian forces also hit targets in Crimea, the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.

Russia Reports Casualties and Damage

Tambov Governor Evgeniy Pervyshov said 28 drones were intercepted before the attack, but seven night-shift workers died at the warehouse. Moscow region Governor Andrei Vorobyov said 48 drones were shot down overnight. He also stated that a Russian oil depot was also damaged by falling drone debris.

Wildberries CEO Tatyana Kim described the incident as a “terrible night” for both the company and Russia.

The Ukrainian strikes on Wildberries warehouses mark one of the deadliest attacks on Russia’s logistics infrastructure since the conflict began.
