Cross Okonkwo, popularly known as Cross da Boss, has defended fellow Big Brother Naija star WhiteMoney after his recent DM controversy.
The issue started after WhiteMoney called out a man who allegedly sent him unwanted advances through Instagram. WhiteMoney also made it clear that he is not attracted to men. However, some netizens criticised him for complaining about the attention.
In response, Cross asked people to leave WhiteMoney alone. He explained that a man can have feminine energy and still be straight. Cross also revealed that he had rejected huge amounts of money for sex with a man.
“I have been offered 500million naira, $200k to sleep with a man and I refused,” he wrote.
According to Cross, money and material things cannot influence his choices. He credited his mother for teaching him those values from childhood. He also supported WhiteMoney’s decision to share the alleged DM publicly.
“Some men are so stupid they send you rubbish on your DMs and think it’s ok to send things to people,” Cross stated.
However, Cross also urged people to be careful when discussing sexuality. He said some people may be comfortable with same-sex relationships, but others are not.
In his final message, he described same-sex attraction as something that requires “deliverance” and said Christians should pray for those involved. Cross ended by saying,
“Jesus loves you too.”
