Alex Ekubo burial begins with emotional scenes in Abia as family, friends, and Nollywood stars gather to honour the late actor’s memory
The atmosphere was filled with emotions as the body of Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo arrived in Arochukwu, Abia State, ahead of his burial. Family members, close friends, colleagues, and residents gathered to receive the late movie star and pay their final respects.
Upon arrival, the convoy carrying his body made a brief stop at the palace of the Eze Arochukwu. Afterwards, it proceeded to the family compound, where loved ones waited to welcome him home for the last time. The moment drew tears from many who came out to honour his memory.
Meanwhile, a large procession moved through the village in celebration of his life and legacy. Residents and fans wore customised T-shirts bearing Alex Ekubo’s image. Many also carried photographs of the actor as they joined the emotional walk through the community.
Several Nollywood stars were present to support the grieving family. Among them were IK Ogbonna, Ini Edo, Omoni Oboli, and Yomi Casual. Their presence reflected the strong bond Alex shared with many in the entertainment industry. As preparations continue for his final farewell, tributes keep pouring in from fans and colleagues who remember him for his talent, charisma, and impact on Nollywood.
