Former Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Managing Director Aminu Dabo has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing personal reasons and future endeavours.
Dabo announced his resignation in a letter dated October 7, 2026, addressed to the APC chairman of Dambatta Gabas Ward in Dambatta Local Government Area of Kano State. He previously served as chairman of the APC caucus in Dambatta Local Government Area.
In the letter, the former NPA chief said he had taken the decision after careful consideration. “I remain grateful for the cordial relationship I enjoyed and appreciative of the experience gained during my time of service,” he said.
He also thanked party leaders for allowing him to contribute to the APC’s development and progress. Dabo previously served as Kano State Commissioner for Land and contested for the state’s governorship ticket as an aspirant.
