Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury to Battle for Special Gold Belt in Heavyweight Showdown

New Gold Belt Unveiled for Historic Fight

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will compete for a specially designed gold belt in their long-awaited heavyweight clash later this year.

The Ring revealed the custom “Fight of Britain” belt, commissioned by Saudi boxing promoter Turki Alalshikh.

The belt features red, white, and blue colours with Union Jack designs and solid gold details.

No World Title at Stake

Neither fighter currently holds a recognised heavyweight world title. The custom belt will serve as the main prize when both rivals finally meet in the ring.

Fans and boxing analysts have waited years for the all-British showdown, which could become one of the biggest boxing events in recent history.

Wembley Record Expected

Promoters expect the fight to break attendance and gate records at Wembley Stadium once tickets become available.

However, uncertainty still surrounds the bout. Joshua must first defeat Albanian boxer Kristian Prenga in a scheduled fight on July 25 in Riyadh.

Promoters Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren have stated that the Fury fight will not happen if Joshua loses.

Prenga has won 20 of his 21 fights, all by knockout.

Fury and Joshua Enter Fight With Strong Records

Fury returned to winning form in April after defeating Arslanbek Makhmudov by unanimous decision in London.

He holds a professional record of 35 wins, two losses, and one draw, with 24 victories coming by knockout.

Joshua last fought in December 2025. He stopped Jake Paul in the sixth round in Miami.

Joshua currently has 29 wins, four losses, and 26 knockouts.

Rivalry Goes Beyond Titles

The rivalry between Fury and Joshua has lasted for more than a decade. Both fighters have claimed to be the best British heavyweight of their era.

Now in their mid-to-late thirties, both men finally have the chance to settle the debate inside the ring.

Usyk Backs Joshua Ahead of Fight

Heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has publicly supported Joshua ahead of the showdown.

Usyk said he has worked closely with Joshua on tactics, mental preparation, and strategy.

He praised Joshua’s growth and discipline while also describing Fury as a dangerous opponent.

Usyk Speaks on Joshua’s Personal Struggles

Usyk also addressed the emotional challenges Joshua faced after losing two friends in a fatal car crash.

Drawing from his experiences during the conflict in Ukraine, Usyk encouraged Joshua to remain strong and focused.

He said prayer, discipline, and resilience remain important during difficult times.
