Ariana Grande has ended her 41-show Eternal Sunshine Tour with an emotional farewell in London. The pop star became tearful while addressing fans at the O2 Arena on Tuesday night.
Grande thanked her fans for making the tour special. Dressed in black, she sat on a stool as she struggled to hold back tears.
“This has been one of the most beautiful, extraordinary experiences of my life,” she said.
“I just wanted to express my gratitude without sobbing completely.”
She also added,
“I’ll cherish this experience always.”
The emotional ending comes as Grande prepares to step away from public life for a while. In August, she said she planned to take a “step back from visibility” after facing intense public scrutiny. The decision followed renewed online discussions about her health after the release of her “petal” music video. Her representatives said she wanted to finish the tour “healthily and happily” before taking a break from public-facing work.
Meanwhile, Grande finished her final shows in knee-high boots instead of her usual heels. She revealed that she had a “deep cut” on her foot and was “bandaged up underneath.” Despite the injury, she called it a “minor” one. The tour began in Oakland, California, in June 2026. It supported her 2024 album, Eternal Sunshine. Grande had described the concerts as “one last hurrah” while also showing interest in more acting roles.
Her break has also affected her plans with Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey. Grande previously left the planned London revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park With George. Bailey later announced that he would also step back from the project. In an Instagram statement, he called Grande “one of my dearest friends” and said his support for her remains “unwavering.”
