Burna Boy’s parents, Bose and Samuel Ogulu, are celebrating 36 years of marriage. The couple marked the special milestone on Tuesday, September 1.
Bose Ogulu shared the celebration with fans on Instagram. She posted beautiful photos of herself and her husband. In her tribute, she called Samuel her “best friend” and an incredible father. She also described their marriage as “thirty-six years of love, friendship and unforgettable memories.” The heartfelt message quickly drew attention from fans and well-wishers.
The couple got married on September 1, 1990. They have three children together: Damini, better known as Burna Boy, Ronami and Nissi. Bose has previously described her children as her “three musketeers.” Beyond being a mother, she has played a major role in Burna Boy’s career. She has managed the Grammy-winning singer since 2017.
Interestingly, music runs deep in the Ogulu family. Bose is the daughter of Benson Idonije, a respected Nigerian music critic. Idonije also managed Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti. Samuel, meanwhile, is from Ahoada in Rivers State. He met Bose in Port Harcourt after her mandatory youth service.
The Ogulus have also celebrated their marriage publicly in previous years. Last September, Bose marked their 35th anniversary with throwback photos. The pictures showed moments from their traditional wedding ceremony. Now, another year has passed, and their love story continues to attract attention.
