FIFA Confirms Davido for World Cup Countdown Show
FIFA has announced Afrobeats superstar Davido as one of the performers for its World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert.
The event will hold in Los Angeles, United States, on June 10. It forms part of build-up activities for the expanded FIFA World Cup.
The tournament will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico in 2026.
Davido to Perform Alongside Major Lazer
In addition, FIFA confirmed that Davido will share the stage with Major Lazer, the music project led by American DJ Diplo.
The football governing body said the Los Angeles concert will kick off a global entertainment series linking the three host nations.
According to FIFA, the show will celebrate football, music and cultural unity ahead of the tournament.
Concert Set for Crypto.com Arena
The event will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Organisers said doors will open at 5 p.m. local time, while the main performance will begin an hour later.
Meanwhile, FIFA also revealed that tickets went on sale on June 3.
Global Simultaneous Performances Planned
Furthermore, FIFA explained that the Los Angeles concert will run alongside similar events in Toronto and Mexico City.
The coordinated shows will create a shared celebration across all three host countries.
In addition, fans will be able to stream the event live on FIFA’s digital platforms, including its official World Cup TikTok account.

FIFA World Cup 2026 Chief Tournament Officer for the United States, Manolo Zubiria, described the concert series as a symbol of unity.

Finally, FIFA confirmed that fans who miss the live broadcast can still watch the full concert later.
The organisation said the show will also be available on its video-on-demand platform, VuMe Live, the following day.
