Afrobeats star Davido turned heads after making a dramatic appearance at the Osun State campaign rally. The singer climbed over a barricade to reach the stage, leaving supporters excited.
The rally was held ahead of the August 15 governorship election, where Governor Ademola Adeleke is seeking another term. Videos from the event have since gone viral across social media.
Davido arrived with the governor’s son, Sina Adeleke, better known as Shina Rambo. Both men struggled to get through the large crowd before reaching the stage. Dressed in a flowing jalabiya, Davido climbed over the railing with help from supporters already on stage. Shina Rambo also received assistance before joining the governor. Moments later, Davido hugged his uncle, Governor Adeleke, as the crowd erupted in loud cheers.
The excitement continued when Davido and Governor Adeleke danced together to Feel, one of the biggest songs from the singer’s Grammy-nominated Timeless album. Their energetic moves entertained thousands of supporters at the rally. As expected, clips of the performance quickly spread online. Many fans praised the close bond between the singer and the governor. Others described the lively moment as one of the biggest highlights of the campaign event.
Interestingly, the rally came only days after Davido appealed for a peaceful election in Osun State. The music star urged residents to reject violence, intimidation and every form of electoral malpractice. Meanwhile, political campaigns have gathered more momentum across the state as parties battle for votes. Governor Adeleke is expected to face strong opposition before the August 15 election.
