Nigerian music star Dapo Oyebanjo, widely recognised as D’Banj, has provided lawyer and politician Pelumi Olajengbesi with three new Sienna buses for his campaign ahead of the 2027 election in the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency.
The singer handed over the vehicles to Olajengbesi in Osogbo, Osun State, on Thursday. Olajengbesi announced the development on Facebook the following day, saying the donation came as an unexpected gesture from the entertainer.
He explained that D’Banj had reached out roughly two weeks earlier, asking for the contact information of the person responsible for his campaign branding. Olajengbesi said he believed the request related to CREAM, D’Banj’s platform for supporting emerging creatives, and therefore shared the contact details.
He said he did not expect the outcome: the arrival of three Sienna buses bearing complete campaign branding.
After contacting D’Banj to express his appreciation, Olajengbesi said the singer described the vehicles as “my token of support.” The buses will be used for campaign-related activities as Olajengbesi pursues the federal constituency seat in 2027.
Reports on his nomination earlier this year identified Olajengbesi as the Accord Party’s candidate for the Oriade-Obokun constituency.
