Kevin De Bruyne scored twice as Belgium defeated Turkey 3-0 in their UEFA Nations League clash in Liege, helping the Red Devils maintain their position near the top of the group.
The 35-year-old midfielder opened the scoring in the 10th minute at the Maurice Dufrasne Stadium with a composed finish after creating space on the edge of the box. De Bruyne collected the ball, moved past a defender and rolled his effort into the bottom-left corner, giving the goalkeeper little chance of making a save.
Turkey struggled to respond as Belgium controlled much of the game. Vincenzo Montella’s side, featuring attacking players such as Arda Guler and Baris Alper Yilmaz, found it difficult to break through the Belgian defence.
De Bruyne doubled Belgium’s advantage in the 60th minute with a powerful long-range strike into the top corner. The goal took his career tally to 201, while his international goals for Belgium moved to 40. The midfielder, who now plays for Napoli, continued to dictate the game as Belgium maintained control after extending their lead.

Romelu Lukaku then completed the scoring in the 75th minute after coming off the bench. The striker met a cross from the right and finished from close range to make it 3-0.
The result gave Belgium a comfortable victory and kept them in contention at the top of the Nations League group.
However, for Turkey, the defeat extended their difficult run in the competition. It was their third consecutive loss, leaving them without a point and increasing the pressure on Montella’s side as they fight to avoid relegation from League A.
