“Definition of Insanity” — Actor Patrick Doyle Tackles Tinubu Credentials Debate

Veteran actor and broadcaster Patrick Doyle has reacted to the fresh debate over President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s educational credentials. The issue returned to the spotlight after recently published nomination documents sparked fresh questions online. Some Nigerians noticed that the forms left his primary and secondary school details blank. However, the documents listed a university degree.

Doyle believes Nigerians should move on from the controversy. In a widely shared social media post, he questioned why people keep demanding the credentials. He said,

“Demanding to see Tinubu’s educational credentials now, after he has won elections no less than four times is the definition of insanity.”

His comment has since stirred fresh conversations across social media.

According to Doyle, the issue has already faced serious legal scrutiny. He noted that the matter was challenged during previous election periods. The legal battle also reached the Supreme Court. Therefore, he believes reopening the same argument every election cycle achieves little. His position has, however, attracted both support and criticism online.

Supporters agree that the courts have already addressed the matter. They argue that Nigerians should focus on governance and other pressing national issues. Critics, however, want complete transparency about the President’s academic history. They believe public officials should provide clear details about their educational claims.

For now, Doyle’s comments have added another layer to an already heated national debate.
