Businesswoman Ehi Ogbebor has opened up about the doubts she faced in her marriage. She revealed that she questioned her decision just three days after her wedding. Speaking on the WithChude podcast, Ehi recalled telling her husband,
“Sorry, sorry, I don’t think I want to marry you. I swear to God.”
She said the feeling came suddenly, as if “something cleared from my eyes.” Ehi admitted that she could not explain what caused the sudden change. Some people suggested that “juju” might have been involved. However, the businesswoman said she does not believe in it. According to her, the marriage already felt uncertain from her side. She also said her husband’s controlling behaviour made things harder.
The businesswoman revealed that she left the marriage several times. At one point, she returned to her parents while pregnant. Ehi said she did so because she did not feel safe. Despite this, her husband repeatedly returned to plead with her. Meanwhile, her family encouraged her to go back to him.
Ehi also shared another surprising detail about their marriage. She said they lived in Edo State, but her husband wanted her family to believe she lived abroad.
“Let your family take it that you live abroad,” he reportedly told her.
Her revelations have now sparked fresh conversations about marriage, doubts and relationship control. Ehi’s story also shows how differently marriage can feel after the wedding day.
