Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus is proudly celebrating her incredible weight loss journey. However, she says the criticism has never stopped. The actress revealed that she once weighed 170kg but now weighs 83kg after years of hard work. While many admire her transformation, she says some people still find reasons to mock her.
Sharing her story on Instagram, Eniola explained that the journey took five years of discipline, sacrifice, consistency, and painful setbacks. She wrote,
“Five years ago, I weighed 170KG. Today, in 2026, I weigh 83KG. That didn’t happen overnight. It took years of discipline, sacrifice, pain, consistency, tears, setbacks, and choosing my health every single day.”
She described it as one of the toughest battles of her life. Even so, she remains proud of how far she has come. Sadly, she said the same people who mocked her for being plus-sized are now criticising her slimmer body.
The actress admitted that the hurtful comments affect her. According to her, losing almost 90kg naturally changes the skin, and she is doing everything possible to care for herself. She said,
“What exactly do you want from me? When someone loses almost 90KG, it’s completely normal for the skin to change.”
Eniola also appealed for kindness, especially from women. She questioned why many women preach support but still tear others down over their appearance. She reminded everyone that nobody deserves to be bullied for being overweight or for choosing a healthier lifestyle.
This is not the first time Eniola has spoken about her transformation. Last year, she celebrated going from 170kg to 90kg and thanked God for the progress. She also admitted that she sometimes misses her old body because it felt familiar. Still, she believes her new body represents growth, better health, and a happier life. Fans will also remember how she stunned many Nigerians with her dramatic new look at the 2022 AMVCA.
Looking back, Eniola says the journey was far from easy. Yet, she hopes her story will inspire others to love themselves, choose good health, and ignore body-shaming voices.
