Five police officers have been remanded in custody over the death of Delta musician Oghenemine Ogidi, known as OG Millan.
The officers were arraigned on Monday before a Delta State High Court in Asaba in connection with the death of the 28-year-old musician and delivery worker. The court ordered their remand at the Ogwashi-Uku Correctional Centre pending further proceedings.
Justice Marshal Onome Umukoro adjourned the case until June 15, 2026, to allow the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to provide legal advice. Human rights advocates described the court appearance as a significant step in the pursuit of justice.
The case stems from the death of OG Millan on April 26, 2026, in Effurun, Delta State. His death sparked widespread public attention after a video linked to the incident circulated on social media.
The matter remains under legal review as family members and rights groups continue to demand justice and transparency.
