France scored four times in the final 13 minutes to overturn a deficit and beat Belgium in the Nations League, extending Zinedine Zidane’s unbeaten start as national team manager.
Belgium took the lead through Dodi Lukebakio, who ran onto a superb 60-yard pass from Romeo Lavia before beating France debutant goalkeeper Guillaume Restes. France continued to press for an equaliser and eventually found it through Desire Doue. The winger’s low effort from outside the box beat Maarten Vandevoordt, who was also making his Belgium debut.
Rayan Cherki then completed France’s comeback after substitute Michael Olise found him with a cutback. Olise added two more goals late in the match, with Doue providing the assists for both strikes.
The performance extended Olise’s impressive international form. The Bayern Munich winger has now been directly involved in 17 goals across 16 appearances for France in 2026.
The victory leaves France top of Nations League Group A1 with 10 points from four matches. Belgium sit third with six points under manager Mark van Bommel.
Elsewhere in the group, Italy moved into second place after beating Turkey 3-1 at home.
