John Stones to leave Man City after 10 trophy-filled years

John Stones has confirmed he will leave Manchester City at the end of the season.

John Stones announced his departure after spending 10 years at Manchester City.

The defender joined from Everton in 2016 and went on to make 293 appearances for City. During his time at the club, he won six Premier League titles, the Champions League, two FA Cups and several other trophies.

In an emotional farewell message, Stones said City had been his home for the past decade and would remain special to him forever. He added that he arrived as a young player and leaves as a fulfilled man and footballer.

The 31-year-old also praised manager Pep Guardiola, saying his success would not have happened without him.

Despite injury setbacks, Stones became a fan favourite and played a key role in some of City’s biggest triumphs, including the 2023 Treble.

His exit marks the end of a major era at the Etihad Stadium.
