Lilo & Stitch Voice Actress Daveigh Chase Dead at 35

Hollywood actress Daveigh Elizabeth Chase, best known as the voice of Lilo in Disney’s Lilo & Stitch, has died at the age of 35. According to her manager, John Ryan Jr, she passed away after battling serious health complications in Los Angeles.

Ryan also spoke warmly about her personality and private lifestyle.

“She was the greatest. She loved cats. She worked with cat rescues with us. She was very to herself.”

He added that she stayed away from Hollywood fame and preferred a quiet life.

“She’d rather eat at Bob’s Big Boy and go home with the cats. She loved acting but wasn’t into the fame scene.”

Chase began acting very early, starting at just four years old. The actress landed her first Hollywood role at seven and grew into a well-known child star. She became widely recognized for voicing Lilo in Lilo & Stitch and also appeared in the horror film The Ring. Her voice performance earned her an Annie Award in 2003, and she continued in the franchise for years.

In June 2026, Chase was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital after severe malnutrition linked to extreme weight loss. Her condition worsened after she developed meningitis and multiple bloodstream infections. She eventually died after doctors confirmed her condition had become critical.

Chase stepped away from full-time acting in 2015, leaving behind a lasting legacy in animation and film.
