Organisers of the Ballon d’Or have announced that London will host the 2026 edition of the prestigious football awards ceremony.
The event will take place on October 26, 2026, marking the first time the ceremony will hold in the English capital.

Organisers said the decision forms part of activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Ballon d’Or award.
England’s Stanley Matthews became the first player to win the trophy in 1956.
Although organisers confirmed London as the host city, they have not yet revealed the venue for the ceremony.
