Netherlands Beat Tunisia 3-1 to Top Group F

The Netherlands finished top of Group F after defeating Tunisia 3-1, booking a Round of 32 clash with Morocco at the FIFA World Cup.

The Dutch made a flying start, taking the lead in the third minute when Tunisia captain Ellyes Skhiri accidentally turned Denzel Dumfries’ cross into his own net. Just four minutes later, Brian Brobbey doubled the advantage with a close-range finish after Virgil van Dijk headed the ball across goal.

Although Tunisia reduced the deficit in the second half through Hazem Mastouri’s header from a corner, the Netherlands quickly restored their two-goal cushion. Jan Paul van Hecke sealed the win with a header that deflected off a Tunisian defender and into the net.

The victory means Ronald Koeman’s side advance as Group F winners and will face 2022 World Cup semi-finalists Morocco in the knockout stage. Tunisia exit the tournament after losing all three group matches and conceding 12 goals.

The Netherlands now shift focus to the Round of 32, while Tunisia’s World Cup campaign comes to an end.
