The National Youth Service Corps has fixed Thursday, September 3, 2026, for the pass-out of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II.
NYSC announced the date on Monday in a statement signed by its Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu. The scheme also shared the announcement on its official X account.
The date marks the end of the one-year national service for members of the batch.
Corps members to receive certificates
NYSC said corps members will receive their Certificates of National Service on September 3.
The scheme will distribute the certificates at the local government level. It also asked corps members, employers and other stakeholders to prepare for the exercise.
“Certificates of National Service would be distributed to Corps Members on the scheduled date at the Local Government level,” the statement said.
The pass-out will formally bring the service year of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II to an end.
Batch B Stream II began service in 2025
The affected corps members started their service year with the orientation exercise in September 2025.
NYSC opened the orientation course on September 24, while registration continued until September 26. The three-week exercise ended on October 14.
Kwara State, however, followed a slightly different schedule during the orientation period.
After the camp exercise, the corps members moved to their places of primary assignment across the country. They also took part in community development activities as part of the NYSC programme.
These activities form part of the requirements for completing the mandatory one-year national service.
Batch B Stream I passed out in July
The announcement comes about a month after the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream I completed its service year.
The Stream I members passed out on July 9, 2026.
With the September 3 exercise, NYSC will complete the pass-out process for both streams of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ cohort.
Meanwhile, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu serves as the Director-General of the NYSC.
