Billionaire businessman Obi Cubana has gifted veteran actress Rita Edochie a brand-new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8.
The generous gesture came after the actress was mocked online over her old phone. Obi Cubana shared a video of the surprise moment on social media. In the clip, he presented Rita with the new smartphone, leaving her visibly excited.
The businessman also celebrated the actress as she received the expensive device. He said she deserved the gift and even more.
Sharing the video, Obi Cubana wrote,
“Had to post this one uncut, unedited, no music! Gratitude is a virtue.”
He then congratulated Rita for becoming one of the first owners of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8.
“U deserve it and more,” he added.
The kind gesture quickly caught the attention of social media users. Many people praised Obi Cubana for turning an unpleasant moment into something memorable for the veteran actress. Rita Edochie has remained active in the Nigerian entertainment industry for several decades.
This is not Obi Cubana’s first big phone gift to a celebrity. Last year, he gifted Pastor Jerry Eze both a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip. At the time, he described the clergyman as the first person to receive the phones.
Also, in 2024, Obi Cubana celebrated blogger Tunde Ednut with two brand-new Samsung Android phones. Tunde said each device was worth over N3 million. He also revealed that Obi Cubana wanted him to use the best Android phones for his blogging business.
