If you thought red-carpet glamour had gone too far this weekend, Osas Ighodaro has something to say. The actress arrived at the Lagos premiere of A Mama Deola Wedding Story looking ready for her own wedding.
She wore a dreamy custom creation by Nigerian designer Veekee James. From the first glance, the gown had serious bridal energy. It was soft, dramatic, and impossible to ignore.
The Osas Ighodaro Veekee James gown came in a warm nude shade beneath layers of ivory lace. Its sheer corset bodice added structure, while crystals and pearls brought the sparkle. Floral lace details moved down the fitted skirt and sleeves.
Then came the real showstopper: a sweeping chapel train that followed her across the red carpet. A matching veil completed the look and pushed the bridal fantasy even further.
Meanwhile, Osas kept the rest of her styling elegant and simple. Her hair sat high in a sleek ponytail, with soft waves falling behind her. Side-swept bangs added a relaxed touch around her face.
Bronze makeup, sharp cat-eye liner, sculpted cheeks, and a glossy nude-brown lip completed the beauty look. Small drop earrings and a sparkling bridal bouquet added just enough extra shine.
Of course, the fashion was not the only thing creating excitement at the premiere. A Mama Deola Wedding Story brings Folagade Banks’ much-loved Mama Deola character to the big screen. The comedy follows the drama and funny moments surrounding Demilola and Femi’s wedding.
Femi Adebayo directs the film, which features Omowunmi Dada, Rotimi Salami, Shaffy Bello, Bukky Wright, Iya Rainbow, Erica Nlewedim, Toyin Abraham, and Akin Lewis.
