Rita Edochie fires back again at Judy Austin’s defamation suit and vows to face her in court over their ongoing public feud.
Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has responded to Judy Austin’s defamation lawsuit. Judy reportedly filed a writ of summons against Rita and is demanding N1 billion in damages. She also wants a retraction, apology, and N50 million payment. In addition, she is seeking 10% post-judgment interest.
Reacting to the lawsuit, Rita questioned Judy’s use of the name “Judy Austin Yul Edochie.” She challenged her to present a marriage certificate if she wanted to be addressed by that name. Rita also said she was ready to meet Judy in court on August 29. “I dey game because I am still the fear at fear fears,” she wrote.
Rita then took another swipe at Judy over her marriage to Yul Edochie. She claimed Judy would be the first to face the full consequences of her actions.
“You will be the first to contend with karma,” Rita stated.
She also described herself as “the mother that mothered their mother” while defending her strong position.
Meanwhile, Rita and Judy have clashed publicly for years. Rita has repeatedly criticised Judy over her relationship with Yul. She recently compared Judy’s situation with May Edochie’s travels around the world. She also questioned why people supported Judy while attacking others who spoke against her.
For now, all eyes are on the courtroom as both women prepare for their next legal battle.
