Ronke Oshodi Begs Nigerians Not To Drag Her Over Political Support

Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke has asked Nigerians not to insult her if they see her supporting a politician. The actress made the plea while speaking about the pressure entertainers face in Nigeria. According to her, such support may simply be about survival. She urged Nigerians to understand her situation before judging her.

Ronke said entertainers also need money to survive and provide for their families. She explained that political endorsements can sometimes offer a way to make ends meet.

“If you see me endorsing any politician, just know that I’m hustling for survival,” she said.

The actress also pleaded with Nigerians not to “drag or insult” her over such decisions.

Her comments also bring back her earlier political experiences. Ronke had previously expressed regret over her support for the All Progressives Congress (APC). She later spoke about her disappointment with the country’s political situation. Those experiences appear to have shaped her current view of political endorsements.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s economic situation has made survival harder for many people. Entertainers are not left out of that struggle. For Ronke, supporting a politician does not always mean strong political loyalty. Sometimes, it may simply be a business decision.

Her message to Nigerians is simple, understand the struggle before passing judgment. She hopes people will see the human side behind such choices.
