Nollywood Actor Opens Up About Intimate Scenes
Saga Adeolu has shared his thoughts on filming romantic scenes in Nollywood.
The former BBNaija star said many actors do not enjoy kissing scenes, despite what audiences often believe.
He spoke during a recent episode of the Nolly Icons podcast.
“Kissing on Set Feels Weird”
Saga described onscreen kissing as uncomfortable and awkward.
“It is not easy to kiss another actor. It is weird,” he said.
He explained that actors often deal with uncomfortable situations while filming intimate scenes.
“It is weird having people invade your mouth with saliva,” he added.
Actors Focus on the Story, Not Pleasure
Saga stressed that actors perform such scenes because the script requires them.
He said most actors do not take pleasure in kissing scenes.
“We are just doing it for the story most times,” he explained.
He also revealed that he would avoid such scenes if he had the choice.
“If I had my way, I won’t kiss anyone in a film,” he said.
Multiple Kissing Scenes in One Day
The actor recalled filming several kissing scenes in a single day.
“There was a day I kissed four different girls on set,” he revealed.
Despite playing romantic roles, Saga said he has never experienced what he considers a “good” onscreen kiss.

Saga urged audiences to appreciate actors for their professionalism.
He said many viewers misunderstand intimate scenes and assume actors enjoy them.
According to him, actors simply focus on delivering believable performances.
