Nigerian social commentator Gehgeh has criticised Burna Boy over his reported ₦9 billion Bugatti purchase. The commentator described the luxury car as a financial mistake. He also questioned its value amid Nigeria’s economic challenges.
Gehgeh shared his thoughts in a video that has sparked reactions online. His comments came after Burna Boy showed off the expensive car during a Lagos drive.
Gehgeh did not hide his disappointment with the purchase. He urged Burna Boy to remove the car from his compound within 24 hours.
“Call Aboki now. I’m giving 24 hours,” he said.
He also asked what the car offers ordinary Nigerians. According to Gehgeh, spending billions on luxury items makes little sense during tough economic times.
The social commentator also questioned the roads where Burna Boy would drive the Bugatti.
“You carry billions of Naira go buy car wey no get use to you and the country you come from,” he said.
Gehgeh added that many Nigerians struggle to afford basic needs. He therefore challenged wealthy Nigerians to think about their spending.
Meanwhile, Burna Boy’s Bugatti recently attracted major attention in Lagos. The singer took the car out for an early morning drive. Crowds gathered around the vehicle as fans tried to catch a glimpse.
At one point, a fan reportedly fell in front of the moving car. The incident also sparked mixed reactions online. While some admired the luxury vehicle, others questioned its huge price and practical value.
