Nigerian singer Esegine Orezi Allen, popularly known as Orezi, has made his position clear on the Lindsay Clancy case. The singer vowed to cut off any friend who supports the American woman. Clancy strangled her three children to death in 2023. She later blamed her actions on postpartum psychosis.
Orezi questioned how anyone could sympathise with Clancy after the deaths of her children. According to the singer, supporting her shows that a person’s reasoning may be “impaired.” He also expressed disbelief over anyone showing empathy towards a mother accused of killing her own children.
The singer’s comments have sparked reactions online. Many people continue to debate Clancy’s mental state and the circumstances surrounding the deaths. However, Orezi appears to have drawn a firm line on where he stands.
Meanwhile, the Lindsay Clancy case remains a widely discussed issue. Her defence has pointed to postpartum psychosis as a factor in the tragedy. The condition can cause severe changes in a mother’s thoughts and behaviour after childbirth.
Still, Orezi believes that anyone supporting Clancy would no longer have a place among his friends.
