Tamunosoye Karibi-George finishes in the Top 12 at Miss World 2026 in Vietnam after winning the Miss World Africa Top Model title.
Nigeria’s has ended her Miss World 2026 journey on a high. The Nigerian beauty queen finished among the Top 12 finalists at the 73rd Miss World pageant in Vietnam. The grand finale held in Nha Trang on Saturday, September 5, 2026. Dominican Republic’s Joheirry Mola won the coveted crown. She succeeded Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri.
Karibi-George earned her place in the Top 40 after winning Miss World Africa Top Model. She secured the title during the Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest. Her strong performance later pushed her into the Top 20. She eventually made the final Top 12. The 26-year-old communications specialist previously won the Miss World Nigeria title. Her latest performance further puts Nigeria on the global pageant map.
Beyond the runway, Karibi-George also used the competition to spotlight her advocacy. Her initiative, Beyond Labels, supports children living with disabilities across Nigeria. The project focuses on accessible resources, social support, and inclusive spaces. Her advocacy also connected with Miss World’s Beauty with a Purpose campaign. Through the project, she highlighted the need for more inclusive communities.
Meanwhile, Spain’s Elisabeth Reynés finished as first runner-up. Malaysia’s Taanusiya Chetty took the second runner-up position. Karibi-George’s Top 12 finish is another strong result for Nigeria. At the previous edition, Joy Mojisola Raimi reached the Top 20.
Karibi-George’s journey also showed that Nigerian beauty queens can compete strongly on the world stage. Her Miss World 2026 outing ended with a solid Top 12 finish and plenty of pride for Nigeria.
