“Thunder fire you!” DJ Switch blasts Remi Tinubu over ‘sell akara’ advice

“Thunder fire you!” Switch reacts to Remi Tinubu’s akara and kuli-kuli business advice, triggering heated social media debate in Nigeria

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has sparked fresh conversations online after advising Nigerians on small business ideas. She mentioned ventures like akara selling, roasted corn, and kuli-kuli production. According to her, these businesses require little startup capital. She also highlighted ongoing government support programmes and social interventions.

In her remarks, she said her office continues to push hope-driven initiatives. She listed scholarships, ICT training, and healthcare support for citizens. “We’ve encouraged Nigerians as best as we could. What is within our hands, I have given and I keep giving,” she said. She added that the “Renewed Hope Agenda” aims to inspire national optimism.

However, DJ Switch strongly disagreed with the message and reacted on social media. She criticised the idea of limiting citizens to survival-level businesses. She argued that Nigeria should build stronger systems for a tech-driven future. In her words, “With absolutely no due respect, Remi! Thunder fire you!” She also blasted supporters of the statement, saying, “I can’t express how much I despise you people.”

The reaction has since stirred heated debate across social media platforms. Some users defended the First Lady’s message as practical support for struggling citizens. Others agreed with DJ Switch, saying Nigeria needs bigger economic opportunities. The discussion continues to trend, showing deep frustration over economic realities and leadership messaging in the country.
