Trump says Iran must ‘cry uncle’ as naval blockade continues

Donald Trump says Iran must surrender as the US intensifies pressure through its naval blockade.

Donald Trump said Iran has to “cry uncle” and admit defeat, insisting the US will not ease its naval blockade until Tehran meets key demands.

Speaking at the Oval Office, Trump claimed Iran’s military had been severely weakened and its economy was collapsing under pressure from the blockade.

He also confirmed rejecting a proposed deal that would have reopened the Strait of Hormuz while delaying negotiations over Iran’s nuclear programme.

Trump said the blockade is more effective than direct military strikes and remains his main leverage to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

The ongoing standoff has disrupted global oil flows and raised tensions across the Middle East.

For now, the US appears set to maintain pressure until Iran agrees to new terms.
