Victor Osimhen fires Galatasaray to historic Turkish Super Lig title

Victor Osimhen scored twice as Galatasaray defeated Antalyaspor to secure a historic Turkish Super Lig crown.

Victor Osimhen delivered a match-winning performance as Galatasaray clinched the Turkish Super Lig title with a thrilling 4-2 victory over Antalyaspor at Rams Park.

The Nigerian striker played a decisive role in the title-winning clash, scoring a second-half brace to inspire Galatasaray’s dramatic comeback. The home side had fallen behind twice after goals from Soner Dikmen, while Mario Lemina earlier restored parity for the league leaders.

With rivals Fenerbahçe winning their own fixture, pressure mounted on Galatasaray to avoid another setback after last week’s defeat to Samsunspor. Osimhen responded in style.

The Super Eagles forward first converted a crucial penalty to level the match at 2-2 before scoring the winner in the 88th minute after reacting quickest to a rebound inside the box. His late strike sparked wild celebrations inside Rams Park as Galatasaray moved within touching distance of the trophy.

Substitute Kaan Ayhan later added a fourth goal after combining brilliantly with Mauro Icardi to seal the emphatic victory and confirm Galatasaray as Turkish champions.

Osimhen’s performance further strengthened his legendary status among Galatasaray supporters. The former SSC Napoli striker has now helped the club secure a fourth consecutive Turkish Super Lig title — only the second time the achievement has been recorded in league history.

The title triumph also marks another major milestone in Osimhen’s career, with the Nigerian forward continuing to shine on the European stage.
