Portable explains why he walked out of his boxing rematch against Charles Okocha, claiming he was bitten and choked before losing by disqualification.
Singer says biting and choking forced him to quit the celebrity fight
Portable has finally reacted after losing his celebrity boxing rematch to Charles Okocha by disqualification. The fight took place on July 31 at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The opening round started with both celebrities throwing punches. However, the contest quickly turned into a chaotic scuffle. Security officials later stepped in to separate them after the bell. Although Portable returned to the ring, officials disqualified him and awarded the victory to Charles Okocha.
Portable Claims Charles Okocha Bit Him
A day after the fight, Portable shared a video on Instagram to explain his side of the story. The street-pop star showed marks on his back and body, claiming they came from bites during the match.
“They said he eats Molly. He didn’t see Molly anymore. So he ate my back,” Portable joked while showing the injuries.
The singer also claimed Okocha bit him after receiving a heavy punch.
“He bit me. I landed a heavy punch on him,” Portable said.
Portable insisted he controlled most of the fight before everything became messy. According to him, he landed more punches than his opponent.
“Normally, I have been beating him up. Man to man, one man is tougher than another. I dealt him a huge blow,” he added.
Why Portable Says He Won’t Fight Again
Portable also explained why he decided to leave the ring before the opening round ended. According to him, the fight crossed the line after Okocha allegedly started biting and choking him.
“Charles Okocha bit me, number one. He choked my neck. That’s why I say I don’t fight again. I’m big! I’m bigger than the money! I’m a star!” he declared.
The singer revealed he entered the ring with a clear plan.
“I wore a one-round cloth to the bout. I wanted to beat him in round one,” he said.
Portable also claimed he achieved his target by landing 10 punches before the fight ended in controversy.
Another Chapter in Their Heated Rivalry
The rematch came months after Portable defeated Charles Okocha in their first celebrity boxing clash. Okocha never accepted that result and pushed for another fight.
Even before the rematch, both stars almost fought during a tense pre-fight interview. They exchanged insults and fake punches, showing fans that their rivalry was far from over. Despite the drama, this latest showdown has left fans divided, with many still debating what really happened inside the ring.
