2027: Yari Names Three Factors That Could Boost Tinubu’s Re-election Bid

Senator Abdulaziz Yari has identified three factors he believes could strengthen President Bola Tinubu’s chances in the 2027 presidential election.

Yari named Tinubu’s faith in God, his administration’s performance and the APC campaign organisation’s ability to win voters’ support.

The former Zamfara State governor spoke with journalists in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. He joined Tinubu and other prominent Nigerians for the Umrah pilgrimage.

Yari, who heads the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC), reaffirmed his commitment to securing support for Tinubu’s second-term bid.

Yari Identifies Three Key Factors

According to Yari, the President’s faith, record in office and campaign strategy could influence voters ahead of the election.

He said the campaign council would take its message directly to Nigerians. The team also plans to highlight the administration’s achievements.

His comments followed Tinubu’s media interaction in Saudi Arabia on Friday.

During the session, the President expressed confidence in God concerning his 2027 re-election ambition.

“I believe that Allah’s wish in His court must prevail. And there’s no other God but Allah. Allah is the only one who can define a human being, what he will be, and what he will become,” Tinubu said.

Yari Praises Tinubu’s Faith

Reacting to the President’s remarks, Yari described his response as a reflection of leadership.

He said Tinubu first prayed for Nigeria and its citizens before addressing his political ambition.

“That is what makes a leader, because when you ask him, he first prayed for the country, prayed for every Nigerian and also he says this election is an election that God has selected the person who will be a leader, and only Him that can put a leader or otherwise,” Yari said.

The APC campaign council chief also stressed the importance of combining faith with practical political work.

APC Campaign Council Plans Voter Mobilisation

Yari said the campaign organisation would engage voters and explain the administration’s achievements.

He maintained that the party must work to convince Nigerians rather than rely solely on prayers.

“So in total, I depend on Allah to do it for him as he did it for him in 2023. By that, Allah says we should work, that all the procedures we are undertaking, to campaign, to talk to people, to convince them, to show them what we have done, what we have achieved and that by His grace, people will be convinced to elect us,” he said.

Yari reaffirmed the APC-PCC’s commitment to mobilising support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
