President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed his sympathies to President John Mahama, the government, and the people of Ghana in the aftermath of the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of several government officials.
President Bola Tinubu has expressed his heartfelt condolences to President John Mahama, as well as to the government and people of Ghana, in the wake of a tragic helicopter crash that resulted in the loss of several high-ranking officials. Among the deceased were Ghana’s Defence Minister, Edward Omane Boamah, the Minister of Environment, Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, and six others who were also on board the ill-fated aircraft.
In a statement released on Wednesday by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, President Tinubu conveyed deep sympathy and solidarity on behalf of the Nigerian government and its citizens. He emphasized that Nigeria stands firmly with Ghana during this period of national mourning and unimaginable grief.
President Tinubu extended his thoughts and prayers to President Mahama, the grieving families, and the entire Ghanaian population. He encouraged the bereaved to draw strength from the fact that those who perished had dedicated their lives to serving their nation with honor and courage.
Furthermore, the President offered prayers for the peaceful rest of the departed souls and requested divine comfort and strength for all those left to mourn their loss. He reaffirmed the enduring bonds of brotherhood and support between Nigeria and Ghana, especially in times of sorrow such as this.
