Abolore Adegbola Akande (also known as 9ice) is a Nigerian musician who recently caused an uproar online. This is after he responded to a cash gift given to him. By the president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musliu Ayinde Akinsanya (Oluomo).
Another video that went viral was one that showed 9ice hugging Oluomo who was sitting as he seemed to pour prayers in his ears after giving him the money.

When the NURTW leader offered 9ice bundles of N500 notes, the singer leaned in, embraced him in his warm embrace. Then prayed heartily, and Oluomo responded substantially with amen.
What was at the start of the year seen as an act of respect and goodwill between the two popular personalities. Has ended up being a debate issue on various social networking sites.
