Nollywood Star Okemesi Hospitalized After Medication Complications

Nollywood comedian and content creator, Okemesi, has reportedly fallen into a coma. Due to complications from medication he received at a hospital.

Fellow actor Jeff Owolewa, popularly known as Tony Montana, shared the news on Instagram on Monday evening.

This development comes just two days after Okemesi moved into a new apartment provided by public donations. The comedian, whose real name is Bamidele Tope Saint, had previously sought financial help after an illness left him homeless.

In his update, Jeff revealed that Okemesi had to hospitalized again. Due to severe side effects from the medication given to him during his earlier treatment. He explained that Okemesi initially rejected by several hospitals. Including a government facility in Igodo, before readmitted to the private hospital that had discharged him last week. Sadly, Okemesi is now in a coma.

Jeff urged Nigerians to pray for Okemesi and appealed for financial support to help cover his medical expenses.

“Guys, Okemesi has hospitalized again,” Jeff wrote. “He was sleeping through Saturday and Sunday and had little appetite. Due to complications from the drugs he was given after been discharge last week.

“I rushed to his house early Monday to take him to the hospital. He was rejected by several hospitals. Including a government hospital in Igodo, where the doctor said there was no bed space. I had to take him back to the first private hospital that treated him. They admitted him and stabilized him.

“His breathing is improving, but he has been in a coma since Monday morning. He’s on oxygen now, and we’re all praying for his recovery.”
