Dubai Media Office officials confirmed the event as a minor incident. They attributed it to falling debris after air defences intercepted a threat.“
Dubai authorities have confirmed that a minor incident resulting from the fall of debris after an interception has been successfully contained,” Dubai Media Office officials stated.
Moreover, officials added that no injuries took place. They also dismissed unverified claims that circulated online.
Airport Halts All Flights
Dubai airport authorities suspended every flight operation immediately. They evacuated passengers and staff to ensure public safety.
In addition, Emirates airline halted all departures and arrivals at Dubai International Airport. The carrier urged travellers to avoid the terminal until further notice.
Operations Resume After Clearance
Officials restored partial services once they contained the situation. Flights gradually returned to normal across the terminals later that day.
