At least 14 people have been killed in Lebanon after Israeli strikes hit the country despite an active ceasefire.
Lebanon said Sunday’s Israeli attacks killed 14 people, including two children and two women, while 37 others were injured, according to the Health Ministry.
Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces warned residents in several southern Lebanese villages to evacuate immediately. The military later said it targeted Hezbollah operatives and sites allegedly used to prepare attacks against Israeli troops.
Israel also said one 19-year-old soldier was killed and six others were injured in a Hezbollah drone strike inside Lebanon. Separately, three drones launched toward Israel were intercepted before crossing the border.
The violence comes despite a fragile ceasefire that began on 16 April and was extended by three weeks last week. Both Israel and Hezbollah have accused each other of violating the agreement.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the military would continue acting with force to stop immediate threats.
The latest clashes highlight how unstable the ceasefire remains, with fears of wider conflict still growing.
