Fresh drama has hit Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo’s marriage. This time, her sister, Ogbodo Sochima, has publicly blasted Uche’s husband, Bobby Maris. In a series of Instagram Story posts, Sochima accused him of being lazy and failing to support his family. According to her, Bobby contributes nothing financially, emotionally, or physically. She also claimed he spends his time sleeping instead of taking responsibility at home.
Sochima did not stop there. She alleged that Bobby enjoys creating drama online. According to her, he deliberately provokes Uche before bringing out his phone to record her reaction. She insisted that Uche’s only offence was deciding to walk away from the relationship. In her words:
“Very lazy thing!! Sleeps from Monday to Sunday, contributes absolutely nothing to the growth of the family… You will provoke your wife, and once she’s set off, the idiot will bring out a camera and start recording… Go and find your next client, lazy thing!”
She also mocked him in another post, writing:
“Keep leaking tape. Don’t enter house at your old age!! You wan do saga. No wahala na.”
The family drama comes days after Bobby Maris shared a cryptic message online. He wrote that not every woman is fit to wear the crown of a wife. Fans also noticed that the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Shortly after, a leaked audio surfaced online. In the recording, Uche questioned Bobby’s claim that he went out to work but returned without payment. She rejected his explanation and said she understood how jobs work because she is an entertainer. Around the same period, the actress shared posts about surviving a narcissist, adding more fuel to the speculation.
Despite the current crisis, the couple once appeared deeply in love. They held their traditional wedding in Imo State in January 2023. Uche proudly announced she had become Mrs. Bobby Florentus Ugwoegbu. She also praised her husband several times and described him as a “heavyweight” and “a mighty man in a young body.” The couple share two children, a boy and a girl. In 2024, Uche even defended Bobby after trolls allegedly sent him death threats following her online clash with May Edochie. However, recent events suggest the marriage is now facing one of its toughest moments.
