Ayra Starr has entered a new era, and this one is painted purple. The Nigerian superstar has released her third studio album, Starrgirl. The 16-track project follows 19 & Dangerous and The Year I Turned 21. More importantly, it shows an artist becoming even more confident in her sound and identity. So, is purple officially the colour of this season?
There is plenty to explore across Starrgirl. Ayra Starr joins forces with Wizkid on “Gimme Dat” and Rema on “Who’s Dat Girl”. She also features Kwn, Leon Thomas, Theodora and Danny Ocean. Then comes “Heaven Baby”, a piano-led collaboration with ZAYN. Their vocals create one of the album’s biggest talking points.
Before the album arrived, Ayra Starr kept fans locked in with several releases. “Gimme Dat,” “Hot Body,” “Who’s Dat Girl” and “Where Do We Go” built strong anticipation.
