Chinedu Ikedieze’s wife has revealed her husband’s funny habit of keeping old household items. The Nollywood star, popularly known as Aki, rarely agrees to replace things at home. She made the revelation in a video shared online. According to her, some items in their home are over 13 years old. She jokingly described her husband as a “legend” when it comes to saving things.
“My husband no dey gree buy new things for. Una legend, this man sabi save things. Some things in this house have been for over 13 years,” she said.
Her comment gave fans a glimpse into Chinedu’s personality away from the cameras. Apparently, the actor prefers keeping useful items rather than buying replacements. His wife’s revelation also showed that this habit did not start recently.
Interestingly, the habit dates back to Chinedu’s bachelor days with his longtime acting partner, Osita Iheme. The pair, popularly known as Aki and PawPaw, once lived together. However, their shared apartment eventually came to an end. Before moving out, the actors reportedly divided their household belongings between themselves.
“One took pot, another took chair, another bed, another kettle, another spoon, even table,” she explained.
Their unusual way of sharing household items has now amused fans online. It also shows how close the two actors were before fame took them to different paths. Chinedu and Osita became famous for their memorable roles in Nollywood movies. Their on-screen chemistry later made Aki and PawPaw household names across Nigeria and beyond.
Meanwhile, Chinedu’s wife’s story has added another funny chapter to the duo’s history. It also explains why some old household items still have a place in their home today.
