Colombia booked their spot in the knockout stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a 1-0 victory over DR Congo in Guadalajara.
Crystal Palace wing-back Daniel Munoz scored the only goal in the 76th minute. His left-footed effort took a deflection off a defender, wrong-footing goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi before finding the net.
Colombia dominated much of the match and created several clear chances before finally breaking through. Munoz was a constant threat, coming close on multiple occasions before delivering the winning moment.
The victory gives Colombia six points from two matches and guarantees qualification from Group K. They now sit top of the group ahead of their final fixture against Portugal.
DR Congo remain third in the standings and must beat Uzbekistan in their last group game to keep their hopes of reaching the knockout stage alive.
