University Senate Approves Disciplinary Action

Confluence University of Science and Technology has expelled eight students for examination malpractice during the 2025/2026 academic session.

The university management announced the decision in a letter signed by Deputy Registrar (Academics), Eli Gbadufu.

The institution’s Senate approved the expulsion during its 30th regular meeting held on April 29, 2026.

Investigation Led to Expulsion

The university stated that its Examination Misconduct Committee investigated the cases before reaching its decision.

According to the management, the students violated academic regulations outlined in the institution’s Student Handbook.

Officials said the university followed due process before imposing the disciplinary action.

Names of Affected Students

The expelled students came from different departments and levels.

They include:

  • Ogedemgbe A. Nelson – 100 Level, Economics
  • Yakubu Abdulrazak Adavize – 300 Level, Library and Information Science
  • Olowu Samuel Ayomide – 200 Level, Mining Engineering
  • Usman Bilal – 400 Level, Information Technology
  • Adams Michael – 200 Level, Information Technology
  • Ale David – 200 Level, Mechanical Engineering
  • Habiba Muhammed – 100 Level, Business Administration
  • Mustapha Faith Adetutu – 200 Level, Agricultural Science

University Reaffirms Zero Tolerance

The management stressed that the university maintains a strict stance against academic dishonesty.

Officials urged students to follow institutional rules and avoid actions that could damage the credibility of the university’s academic system.

The university said the decision reflects its commitment to discipline and academic excellence.

Management also noted that the action would help protect the value of degrees awarded by the institution as it continues to expand.
