Dangote Petroleum Refinery has raised its petrol gantry price to N1,350 per litre. The new price takes effect from Saturday, September 12, 2026.
The latest increase adds N85 to the previous price of N1,265 per litre. It is also the refinery’s fourth petrol price increase since August 21. In just 22 days, the price has risen by N185, representing a 15.9 per cent increase.
The refinery announced the latest adjustment in a circular issued late Friday. The Group Commercial Operations department informed customers of the new petrol and coastal prices.
“Gantry (LTR): The old price of ₦1,265 per litre has been revised to ₦1,350 per litre,” the circular stated.
Meanwhile, the coastal price rose from N1,669,545 to N1,783,530 per metric tonne.
Customers have also been asked to return all existing Authority to Collect documents for repricing. After that, a new volume contract will be issued for immediate loading. The latest move comes as international crude oil prices remain high. Brent crude recently crossed $104 per barrel after earlier rising above $107.
The surge has been linked to supply concerns caused by the ongoing United States-Iran confrontation. Oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz have dropped sharply. Attacks on tankers and shipping restrictions have also increased fears of tighter global oil supplies. As a result, crude and refined fuel prices have remained under pressure.
The latest Dangote increase could therefore mean higher petrol prices for Nigerian motorists and businesses.
