Falz Explains Why Waiting Until Your 30s Before Marriage Matters

Nigerian rapper Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has shared his thoughts on the best time to get married. The music star believes people should avoid rushing into marriage before turning 30.

Speaking on an episode of The BTS Reality Podcast, Falz explained that many people are still developing emotionally, mentally, and financially in their 20s. He advised singles not to allow family pressure, social expectations, or peer influence push them into early marriage.

According to the 35-year-old rapper, the 20s should be a period for personal growth, exploration, and self-discovery. He believes this stage helps people understand themselves better before taking on the responsibilities of marriage.

“Getting married in your 30s is the best. Don’t let anyone pressure you into getting married before 30. By 30s, you have gained more life experiences. In your 20s, you are still figuring yourself out. Your 20s are for learning, growing, and enjoying life,” Falz said.

He added that people often gain more clarity about their goals and future plans as they get older. In his view, the lessons gathered in the 20s can help people make better decisions about relationships and family.

“In your 30s, you combine all the knowledge and try to direct your life. So, it is better to wait till your 30s before getting married,” he stated.

While Falz’s opinion reflects his personal belief, many people agree that emotional maturity, financial readiness, and strong communication skills are important for a successful marriage.

However, marriage decisions remain personal, as some people find happiness marrying earlier while others prefer to wait.
