Pastor Femi Lazarus has advised women to submit to their husbands after marriage. The Light Nation Church founder shared his views while discussing marriage and relationships.
According to the pastor, wives should respect their husbands’ authority in marriage. He also criticised men who allow their wives to control their homes.
“Any home that the woman is controlling the husband, curse is the land,” Femi Lazarus said.
He added,
“If you are not willing to submit, don’t marry it.”
The pastor also challenged men who see themselves as “woke” for rejecting traditional marital roles. He said men should not accept disrespect from their wives.
“If you are a man, that your definition of being a woke man is that the lady is telling you to your face that, ‘I don’t submit to no man,’ you say, ‘Hey, let’s go.’ You’re a weakling,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Femi Lazarus urged couples to follow biblical teachings about marriage. He said husbands should love their wives, while wives should submit to their husbands.
“We don’t twist what the Bible instituted. The word is the word. Love your wife. Wife, submit to your husband. That’s the culture,” he said.
The pastor also raised concerns about domestic violence among couples. He urged men not to ignore threats or physical aggression from their partners.
Femi Lazarus referenced a case involving a woman who allegedly killed her children. He claimed some women had publicly supported the woman.
He further warned husbands against laughing off violent behaviour from their wives. According to him, such actions should be taken seriously.
The pastor advised couples to address troubling behaviour early. He also encouraged them to avoid treating abuse as normal relationship.
