Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has urged Nigerians to protect their peace amid the noise on social media. The actor shared the advice after a video involving his wife, Mo Bimpe, and Jide Awobona went viral. Lateef wrote on social media,
“Guard your mental space from social media noise, own your focus, and stay undefeated.”
The message comes days after a video from Folagade Banks’ movie premiere sparked online reactions. Lateef and Bimpe attended the event together last week. In the clip, Bimpe sat between her husband and Jide Awobona. She was seen chatting freely with Jide while Lateef sat beside her. Some social media users claimed the actor looked uncomfortable during the conversation.
However, Mo Bimpe quickly addressed the criticism. The actress said a one-minute video had turned into a subject for public analysis. She also reminded critics that not every marriage is based on fear or insecurity. According to her, her husband is a secure man. She added that speaking with a family friend should not threaten their marriage.
Meanwhile, the couple has continued to show love publicly. After their triplets’ Thanksgiving, Lateef shared loved-up photos with Bimpe and revealed that he was “obsessed” with her. Bimpe replied that she was also obsessed with him. Their relationship has remained a major talking point among fans.
Lateef previously advised people to marry their friends when a fan asked how he won Bimpe’s heart. At the 12th AMVCA in May, his film Lisabi won two awards. He dedicated one of them to Bimpe, who has given him three children. On her birthday, he also described her as a true blessing, his love, and his family’s engine room.
